My adventure with analog photography began in May 2025. This is the first camera I got: the infamous Canon EF, nicknamed “Black Beauty” for its all-black finish — rare and iconic since its release back in 1972(!). I instantly fell in love with it — the satisfying mechanical sounds, the classic design, and the beautiful images it helps me create.
I shoot on 35mm film, mostly using Kodak stock, with Gold 200 being my favorite. I love capturing nature and playing with shadows.
I often underexpose my shots to emphasize the highlights — especially sun rays — which gives my photos a nostalgic, almost dreamlike quality.
I develop my negatives at a lab, but I scan them myself using a Plustek OpticFilm 8200i. I edit the scans with Darkroom — a free, open-source tool that fits perfectly into my DIY workflow.
Here you'll find a selection of my favorite shots captured on 35mm film. These images highlight the unique character and mood that only analog photography can deliver.
