I got into 3D printing about a year ago. It had always interested me, but I only recently picked up my own machine — a Bambu Lab A1 with AMS Lite. Since then, it’s become a regular part of my workflow, mostly for printing functional parts like holders, mounts, organizers, and tools. I primarily print in PETG for its durability and versatility.
I also design my own parts when needed, and enjoy the hands-on aspects of the process — especially the tinkering, maintenance, and the satisfaction of solving real-world problems through printing. While it’s mostly a personal hobby, I occasionally take on commissions or help friends with prints.
One of my proudest designs is a bike tool and tube mount that attaches to the frame using the standard water bottle mount. It uses Velcro straps to securely hold spare tubes, multitools, and repair kits — ideal for long rides or races.
This isn’t just a personal project — the design has been picked up and used by multiple professional cyclists, which has been an incredibly rewarding surprise. I’ll be adding some renders and photos soon.
